Performing and Fine Arts

Fine Arts taught in Spanish

All students take drawing and painting as a working studio class.  They also learn about specific artists, art styles, periods, and  art history.

Performing Arts:

Music:  Integrated into our immersion program, students currently learn traditional songs in the immersion target language/s, which they perform at the Windsor Memory Center as part of our community outreach.  Students attend symphony,  world music, Richmond Ballet, or opera performances each year to gain exposure to and appreciation of the classical performing arts.  Additionally students study at least one classical musical work each year, such as Peter and the Wolf, Swan Lake, or the Nutcracker.

Theater: Students put on productions in English and in their target language/s.  See Literature through Theater below.
